Building For Ghosts: Ordos Revisited

Yes, they are still building. The famous ghost city Ordos in Inner Mongolia is still busy with constructions of new buildings.

I don’t think this crazy scene of busy construction is something very peculiar in China. In fact, you can see busy constructions everywhere in China. The thing here is that the city has been empty, and is still empty. Even more curious is that the constructions go on and on.

Al Jazeera visits Ordos again, looking at the constructions building for ghosts. Or, if you believe in Say’s Law, perhaps supply does create its demand… eventually.
