Europe markets are largely fluctuating between green and red. H&M (HMb.ST) profit missed estimates, concerns continue to linger on Irish banking system, and strike in 12 countries in Europe today are among the headlines. Your author would like to add that BP (BP.L) share price rose.
US equity preview
US stocks futures are little changed. Headlines which grabbed your authors attentions included report that mortgage applications fell for 4 weeks in a row. Just as your author has expected previously, the problems in US housing market are still there. HP (HPQ.N) forecast for fiscal 2011 beat analysts’ estimates. Also, Goldman Sachs (GS.N) may sell their shares in ICBC (1398.HK) to raise HK$15.92b.
