Asian markets are NOT immune to turbulence in developed markets

Bloomberg Briefs’Michael McDonough showed us this chart yesterday, showing that while you might think some of these Asian markets have stronger fundamentals than the West, they are not immune to the jitters in the West. Funds flowed out of Asia in last summer after the downgrade of the US credit rating and the on-going Euro crisis. With this in mind, don’t be surprised that this will happen again as the Euro crisis has not ended and will certainly get worse again.
