US market ended much higher last week, boosted by capital goods spending figure.

Hong Kong to follow rise in US and Europe, but the Shanghai market has little change in early trading. Japan market rose in early trading. Financial Times reported that Japanese government is weighing a $55b stimulus package to combat the rising yen and continued slow growth of their economy.

HSBC’s Thornton poised to quit
