Visualising European Sovereign Debt Crisis

Google Public Data Explorer is such a cool tool that allows you to visualise data (and to pretend you are Hans Rosling? well never mind that one).

With the European debt crisis in focus, here’s what available on the data explorer regarding the debt situation in Europe. First, here’s the debt to GDP ratio.

Then, government surplus/deficit as a percentage of GDP.

Finally, via Bloomberg Brief’s Michael McDonough, here’s the debt to GDP ratio, 2011 estimates by IMF.
