I came across some reports from the McKinsey Global Institute in my work, and I found it to be useful. They were very well written, with much information. Highly recommended.
Although it was an old article, their research in China capital market is still highly relevant. It shows us how the capital market is like, and how imperfect it is. Also, it gives a direction of what kind of development will be needed for China to further develop there financial infrastructure.
The report can be found here. The report is very long, and I have not completed reading it. Besides this, there is also report about whether the current account deficit of US can be sustained.
