China’s industrial production growth increased to 9.6% yoy in October

Headline growth of industrial production accelerated from 9.2% yoy to 9.6% yoy in real term, better than market estimate of 9.4%. On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production increased by 0.81%, up from 0.80% in September (which was revised from 0.79%).
The closely watched growth in electricity output growth rebound significantly in October to 6.4% yoy after staying in low single-digit rate for the entire third quarter, suggesting an improvement in economic activities into fourth quarter.
