China’s real GDP for the third quarter increased by 7.4% compared to the same period a year ago, in-line with market estimate.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP increased by 2.2%, up from the revised 2.0% print for the second quarter. If annualised, GDP increased by 9.1% in the 3rd quarter, up from 8.2% in the second quarter.
In nominal term, GDP increased by 8.7% yoy, down from 10.1% in the third quarter. The implied GDP points to an year-on-year prices increase of 1.2% yoy, compared with 1.9% yoy in the CPI inflation print.
