Charts: Inflation? Where?

The following chart shows the year-on-year CPI inflation rates for a number of economies. As you can see, all have their yoy inflation rates peaked last year, and have since rolled over.

For the Germans, especially our dear Bundesbank, who are obsessed about inflation, Inflation for Germany is, just like the rest of the Eurozone, rolling over again.

And if you still insist that inflation is a threat, take a lot at the following chart showing month-on-month inflation for Eurozone, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China. For May, surprisingly, they are all in negative territory. That is not inflation, but deflation.

So, inflation? Where?
